Overview
Horyal Humanitarian Foundation implements the Adak Akika Project year-round to support vulnerable communities across Somalia. The project focuses on providing fresh meat to needy families, ensuring food security for those in underserved regions.
Each month, approximately 1,000 shares of sheep are distributed to selected districts and villages in Somalia. This initiative benefits an estimated 10,000 needy families, offering fresh and nutritious meat for their children and households.

- Animal Acquisition: Sourcing healthy sheep for the sacrifices.
- Slaughtering: Ensuring humane and hygienic practices.
- Packaging: Preparing the meat for safe and efficient distribution.
- Distribution: Delivering the fresh meat to the selected regions and families in need.
Selected Distribution Locations
The distribution is strategically allocated to areas with the most acute needs, as follows:
- Benadir Region: 300 shares
- Villages near the Shabelle River: 300 shares
- Beledweyn District: 200 shares
- Abadwak District: 200 shares
The impact of the project
This initiative strengthens food security and improves the nutritional intake of thousands of families monthly. By addressing immediate hunger needs, the Adak Akika Project fosters hope and resilience in some of Somalia’s most vulnerable communities
