Overview
The tuk-tuks motorcycle Micro Live Project targeted needy women in Somalia who are in need of support to improve their living conditions. Many of these women are widow facing certain problems, including limited access to resources, economic instability, and social barriers. By focusing on this demographic, the project aims to empower women and enhance their roles in their communities.
Key Activities
Youth Employment through Tuk-tuks to support the needy and unemployed women & youths.
HHF has provided tuk-tuks motorcycle-powered vehicle used as means of transport to women & needy people in various regions in Somalia. These tuk-tuks allow them to work in the city and regions of Somalia, enabling them to earn a steady income and improve their family lives while contributing overall economic of the country
The impact of the project
tuk-tuks motorcycle Micro Live Project provided to the needy women in Somalia has certain social and economic impact. These include among others:
- Enhanced income and employment.
- Local economic growth
- Social cohesion and solidarity.
After providing support of tuk-tuks motorcycle Micro Live Project, these women were able to maintain their families as they getting steady income, additionally they used part of their income for purchasing goods and services in which they resell in the local mark which stimulate overall economic growth. Moreover, as their income gradually growing they boost part of their income to their depressed relatives, extend support hand to the other widow women and this will participate the social wellbeing and good reciprocal relations among the community.
